Our Story

Our passion for designing and building custom homes started almost 30 years ago when Bart Denlinger left a successful career in commercial construction to focus on the residential side of the craft. Falling in love with the town of Troy, he and his wife, Teri, decided to put down roots here. They bought five property lots on which they built five homes: four were sold, and one they kept to raise their family in.

Today, having built over 500 homes, Denlinger & Sons Builders has solidified our reputation as the area’s premier custom home builder. Our company name is a promise that you will have a hands-on partner dedicated to bringing to life your vision for your new home.

Bart is keeping the business in the family, partnering with his son, Todd, whose training and construction management experience provides additional depth to our offerings, including a range of affordable, non-custom, expertly designed options for young families and downsizing empty-nesters.

Bart Denlinger, Founder/CEO

Bart and his wife, Teri, started our building company 30 years ago. Bart’s continued expertise and leadership mean he’s hands-on day-to-day out in the field while also working on development and land acquisitions. He enjoys traveling with Teri and friends, hunting, fly fishing, and spending time with his grandkids.

Todd Denlinger, President

Eagerly following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, Todd’s mission is to provide each homeowner with an exceptional homebuilding experience. He maintains the highest standards of professionalism and integrity whether working with clients, suppliers or trade contractors. Husband to Jenna and father to Hudson and Adeline, Todd was raised with strong values and puts integrity first in everything he does. He’s also a former OSU football player, and avid sportsman.

Roger Bloemker, Project Design Manager

Roger is our in-house custom home designer. Before joining our team, Roger owned his own award-winning custom home building company. He pairs vast homebuilding and business knowledge with an amazing ability to listen to clients and translate their vision into an architectural form, sketching beautiful renderings of their dream home. Roger resides in Vandalia and is a married father of two.

Terri Waters, Interior Design Coordinator

Terri brings a fresh perspective to interior coordinating for Denlinger & Sons Builders. Having a bachelor’s degree of Interior Design, she helps manage projects from early design concept through completion. Beyond kitchen and bath design, and using computer rendering design to bring them both to life, she also provides valuable perspective for interior finish selections. Terri loves spending time with her husband, Jason; daughter Lena; and triplet sons Aaron, Ethan, and Isaac.

Deanna Curtis, Office Manager/Design Assistant

Deanna joined Denlinger & Sons with administrative experience in residential home building. As an integral part of our team and a “jack of all trades,” she leverages two of her greatest strengths: organization and customer service. Deanna manages our In-House Exterior Design Center and assists clients with their exterior finishes ranging from exterior brick and stone to shingles, windows and doors. She is truly at the center of the communication hub, keeping everyone connected and informed. She’s often found out and about with her husband, Zach, and their two dogs, Beau and Darrell.

Rob Draving, Field Superintendent

Playing a key role in the last few weeks of every project, Rob applies his deep design expertise to make our clients’ house a home, putting on the finishing touches that ensure everything looks picture perfect. He lives in the area and loves spending time with his wife, Kathy.

Elise Preston, Project/Finance Manager

As our Project/Finance Manager, Elise works directly with our field staff and subcontractors, ensuring all schedules, payments, and contacts are accurate and up-to-date. She’s the go-to for clients when they have financing needs or billing questions. When she’s not in the office, she’s enjoying time with her husband, Matt.
